Who Is It For?
Older adults noticing hearing loss (turning up the TV, missing conversations in noisy places) and families who want them tested.
What to Expect
A hearing test by an audiologist or hearing instrument practitioner, results explained the same day, and if needed a hearing aid fitting with follow-up adjustments, cleaning and repairs.
Pricing in Canada
Hearing tests for adults are often free at private clinics. Hearing aids typically cost $2,000 to $8,000 a pair; some provincial programs, Veterans Affairs and extended health insurance cover part of it. Ask about trial periods and what follow-up visits include.
